Hands-on firearms testing, equipment demonstrations, meetings with experts, and a shooting competition for journalists. These were the highlights of Military Live Show 2026 – CENZIN MEDIA DAY, held on October 8 at a shooting range in Rembertów, Warsaw. CENZIN sp. z o.o. (PGZ Group) gave defense industry journalists the opportunity to test selected firearms from its portfolio, representing a wide range of weapon categories and operational applications. The event was also part of CENZIN’s 100th anniversary celebrations.
The live-fire testing featured firearms manufactured by Heckler & Koch, with ammunition supplied by Sellier & Bellot. The selection was designed to showcase the breadth of CENZIN’s portfolio for the armed forces and law enforcement agencies, ranging from handguns and submachine guns to assault rifles and battle rifles. This allowed participants to test firearms designed for different operational roles and directly compare their performance on the range.
“Our goal was to present a representative cross-section of our portfolio. We selected firearms from different categories, designed for a variety of operational requirements, so that journalists could go beyond technical specifications and experience their performance firsthand. When it comes to firearms, hands-on testing provides a much better understanding of ergonomics, handling characteristics, and the differences between individual weapon systems,” said Kamil Wereszczyński, Director of Institutional and Retail Sales at CENZIN.
The Heckler & Koch lineup included the SFP9 and MARK 23 pistols, MP5, UMP, and MP7 submachine guns, HK416 and HK417 rifles, and the HK269 grenade launcher. The display also featured Mossberg 590, 590A1, and 940 shotguns. Sellier & Bellot ammunition was used during the live-fire sessions, while tactical eyewear was provided by Polish manufacturer OPC.
The firearms testing was followed by a shooting competition organized exclusively for media representatives, giving participants an opportunity to put their marksmanship skills to the test in a competitive setting. Accuracy and total points scored determined the final rankings.
Journalists representing eight media outlets took part in the competition. Michał Budzyński of Gunslab secured first place, earning the title of Best Marksman of CENZIN MEDIA DAY 2026. Paweł Szustkiewicz of Brać Łowiecka finished second, while Michał Sitarski of Frag Out! Magazine took third place.
In 2026, CENZIN celebrates 100 years of history, tracing its roots to SEPEWE, an organization established in 1926 to promote Polish defense industry exports. CENZIN MEDIA DAY was one of the events marking this milestone anniversary, connecting the company’s century-long heritage with a presentation of its current operations, capabilities, and expertise.
“A century in the industry represents an extraordinary wealth of experience, but for us, this anniversary is about much more than looking back. The firearms market is evolving rapidly, as are the operational requirements of the armed forces and law enforcement agencies. That is why, during MLS 2026 – CENZIN MEDIA DAY, we gave journalists the opportunity to experience our portfolio firsthand. You can write about firearms, analyze technical specifications, and compare different systems, but nothing can replace firsthand experience on the shooting range,” emphasized Sylwia Kuligowska, Press Spokesperson for CENZIN.
